The Bears of Bracken create collectable and unique, handmade bears in the heart of beautiful Devon.

Often called Artist Bears or Heirloom Bears, the items I create are not mass-produced, but rather one-of-a-kind (OOAK) collector's items that I hope will be passed down from generation to generation.  Teddy bear collectors and enthusiasts are called 'arctophiles'.

Using mohair, alpaca and faux fur fabrics, I pride myself on hand-cutting and hand-sewing all my bears.  I never use a sewing machine, just a good old-fashioned needle and thread.

Every bear is then logged into the bear registry with a unique reference number so collectors can see all the information about our beloved creations. All the items in our shop are of the utmost quality and never leave if they do not live up to my very high standards.

I am also happy to discuss commissions. I have access to a huge amount of mohair (goat's wool), alpaca fleece and synthetic fabric in all different colours and fur length (and density) so drop me a message if you have something specific in mind.  I am more than happy to work with you to design your perfect teddy companion.
